Women’s Action for Peace and Security Affinity Group

Peace is more than the absence of war: it is only possible with the security that comes with social and economic justice and adequate, fair access to basic resources. Our group will address issues of equity inside Europe and with neighbours to the south and east, as well as conflicts related to energy, climate change, water and other natural resources world-wide. We see on-going work for peace with justice as a feminist issue. There is already much women’s activity, campaigns and networking for peace going on. Our hope is that the EFF can make this more visible on the European level, better known and more accessible to a broad, international public. And that activists can use the EFF for networking and exchange beyond national boundaries.
